$15.00 and up - The Jazz on South Beach is the new name of the South Beach hostel. This hostel is a good cheap hostel, and if you play around with the dates a bit you can book a room here for as little as 15.00 per night (Twizi! likes that.) This hostel has been around for a while and I believe they are the best hostel as far as price, but do not expect to be "Wowed" by there facilities. They have a two story building that is filled with many cheap four person dorms. The dorms are clean and well maintained. Although it is very inexpensive, there do exist a couple drawbacks. I stayed at this hostel soon after the owners took over and was disappointed to find out there was no longer a free breakfast and also their internet costs alot. They have two computers in their lobby (the kind you have to put dollar bills into or swipe your credit card). Common areas are not big enough to accommodate many people or gatherings. Their location is less than two blocks from South Beach and they are a few blocks outside the hot spots of South beach which is nice if you don't want to hear club music all night, but it also means you have to walk a few blocks to get something to eat. Overall this is a "cheap sleep" and the most economical of the Miami hostels.

and we can see why.
As you walk out of the bright sun and into the cool and relaxing lobby area of this place you start to think you are not at a hostel as you glace around at the plush comfortable chairs that seem to belong in a luxury hotel lobby. I was in their lobby thinking exactly that and was relieved to see a front staff person open a door that let me see into a room that was filled with backpacks (their locked storage room). Once I saw that, I knew I was at the right place. This hostel is one of the nicer hostels I have been to, and is certainly the best hostel in Miami for cleanliness, ambiance, and facilities. We also like their location and price. Twizi! recommends this hostel for Miami. This is a Hostelling International hostel.

$22.00 and up - Hostel with a pool! nice... Sizzling Nightlife, parties till the morning comes, gorgeous beaches - this is Miami Beach. And all that action is going on in South Beach. So if you come to Miami - stay in South Beach at the Tropics hostel and Hostel. Because our Miami hostel is right in the center of everything, has clean, newly renovated rooms and an Olympic size swimming pool. The Art-Deco- and Nightlife District and the beach are just there, all in walking distance. And our Miami hostel rates are very competitive. Dormitories are a unique form of accommodation. They are unique in that facilities are shared with other guests. Our dormitory is furnished with 4-8 bunk beds per room. The bathrooms are attached to the rooms and shared only with the other people that stay in your room.

$16.00 and up - This hostel has many good things about it, but what tops the list for Twizi! is it's price and location. This is the most centrally located hostel in South Beach. It sits right in the middle of the action.
