It only has one hostel, and what a hostel it is. The HI hostel here is the cleanest hostel I have ever seen. It is the most modern of all the Los Angeles hostels with a beautifully decorated building that is more like a luxury hotel than a hostel.

Overview

This hostel is one of the cleanest hostels I have ever visited. It is in Santa Monica, and is just a few blocks away from the beach. They have everything a traveler needs and their building really is a wonder for a hostel. If you are going to Los Angeles and staying at the beaches, these guys are well worth the look.

This is the only hostel in Santa Monica. Hostelling International is a great hostel chain, and are very safe and clean hostels all over the world. They also have a no alcohol rule, which is wonderful for some but not so hot for others. For those who are most worried about safety, this is probably the safest hostel in the Los Angeles area.

I visited this hostel unannounced, but the manager gave me the grand tour and let me take these photos and the virtual tours. It is absolutely amazing how clean this place is, if you look at these photos and realize that they in no way prepared for, it is very impressive.
