Backpackers Paradise hostel
4200 W. Century Boulevard, Los Angeles, CA, 90304
dorms from $15.99
Backpackers Paradise is the cheapest hostel in Los Angeles, but
it has the most amenities. I was completely surprised by this place.
Anyone on a budget will clearly find this hostel to be the best
overall value in Los Angeles.

OverviewFree everything is here! Free food (yum) free
shuttle buses (airport, Venice beach) free drinks (champagne - for
an hour each night). While most hostels will offer you free toast or something for
breakfast, this hostel goes above and beyond any hostel I have been
to as far as free food goes. Mornings - free coffee and muffins, all
day - free popcorn (made in one of those movie theater type of
popcorn poppers where you can just go up to it and take as much as
you want) Afternoons - free cookies baked in their restaurant oven.
Evenings - free buffet. You could literally live of the free food
here. I like that.
Pool
This is also the only hostel in Los Angeles
that has a pool. A nice one at that. The pool area is a great place
to chill and there are dozens of tables to sit at, internet kiosks
to use and video games galore.

Room Details
The Backpackers Paradise hostel offers both dorm rooms and
private rooms. The dorms have 20 beds, which are spread out between
two or three areas.

The private rooms here are huge and a great deal if you are two
to four people traveling together (they are all suites some have a
front "living room" as shown here, and others have two large
bedrooms which are nice for small groups).

Bar and restaurant
The bar serves the cheapest beers I have found in Los Angeles. less than a dollar for a large beer, I love it.
Even if you are broke, you can have a great time in the evenings in
their bar. The restaurant is full service with a wait staff and a
full menu. There are quite a few good deals to be had.

The hostel is located near the airport, so it is a particularly good
deal when you are first coming to or leaving LA via plane. The
location is not near tourist attractions, but the free shuttle to
Venice beach is really helpful in that sense.
