If you’re looking for a great place to stay in London, central to everything you must see, with friendly staff, a clean and safe environment then St. Christopher’s Village is the only option. We are located in the centre of the city, close to everything a backpacker, tourist, or group could want from London.

The hostel is situated off the Thames River in the Historic Southwark area of London. It was the literary backdrop to the writings of Charles Dickens, used as a location for the filming of movies such as Snatch, Lock Stock and Two Smoking Barrels, Bridget Jones’ Diary and the next Harry Potter Movie, and contains some of the best history, art and culture in London. A short walk up the south bank of the Thames takes you through historic Borough market, past the London Dungeon, St. Paul’s Cathedral, Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre (an authentic Shakespearian period theatre), Tate Modern Gallery, and the Millennium Bridge. Alternatively you might want to take a stroll across nearby Tower Bridge to the Tower of London to see the crown jewels, or take quick cruise down the river to see The London Eye, Big Ben and The Parliament Buildings.

Our hostel has so much to offer today’s traveller including quality accommodation (free continental breakfast, multiple washrooms and showers on each floor and fresh bedding provided free of charge - nb. towels are not provided), top in-house entertainment (BBQs, karaoke and DJs), security (electronic swipe card access, CCTV, luggage storeroom, in-room lockers and 24 hour reception) and comfort (rooftop sauna and hot tub) at unbelievably low rates.

Once you finish seeing all that London has to offer, meet other guests and enjoy what Rough Guide London 2002 called the “party-animal ambience, fuelled by the neighbouring bar and roof top sauna and hot tub.” Our next-door Belushi’s Bar and Nightclub is a late-licensed bar, full of travellers and locals having wild times and partying the night away to hot DJs. If you are looking for a quieter or more intimate stay because of the noise and atmosphere please consider the Orient Espresso, our coffee shop and hostel just down the street.

Close to the London underground (London Bridge Tube Station), mainline train networks (London Bridge Rail Station) and 24 hour bus routes, The Village is the perfect base to explore England’s capital city and beyond, with ease.

***GUESTS UNDER THE AGE OF 18 YEARS OF AGE Must stay in a private room with guardians they can not share in general dormitory rooms with persons that are not part of their own group or family. Under 18s are not allowed the bars or pubs.

***Requirement of Wheelchair Facilities must be advised to Hostel Prior To arrival since not all rooms have wheelchair or disabled access.

***Check-in is after 2pm. Free luggage storage is available for those arriving earlier.
