Overview

The Waikiki Beachside hostel is a block and a half from the best part of Waikiki beach. Right in the middle of the nightlife and shopping that the Waikiki area offers, this hostel is located about as good as it could be for your Honolulu stay. I know this hostel pretty well, I used to live there and it was where I first stayed when I moved to Hawaii. It is the best hostel here (if you like fun, parties, etc.).

They have a great outdoor lounge with huge TV's and they show movies almost every night of the week.

They also have all sorts of things you can take to the beach like chairs, boogie boards, etc.

You must be over 18 years of age to stay at this hostel.

Room Details

The Waikiki Beachside hostel offers eight person dorm rooms to be booked online. These rooms are pretty cool, but you should know a couple things about them to get the most out of your stay there. First off... There are eight person dorm rooms and four person dorm rooms (you will often stay in a room that looks like the pictures below. Bunk beds all around. The kitchen area has cupboards (sometimes with dishes in them!), sink, refrigerator and plenty of counter space.

Each shared room comes equipped with a full kitchen, bathroom, television, telephone, air conditioning, and lanai (patio). For Hawaii, these are very good dorm rooms and the best you will find.

Now the good thing to know is that the door that separates the two rooms closes. This is very important. You see, the front room is where the kitchen and the bathroom and the exit is. Which means it sees a lot of activity. Grab the back room where you can sleep even if there is a party going on in the front. There are phones in each room and cable TV. The air conditioner for both rooms is in the back. The patio is in the back too. The back rooms are better all around at the Waikiki Beachside hostel.
