Deep in the diverse neighborhoods of Chicago’s Southwest Side, yet only 1/2 hour from downtown by the famous Loop elevated train and 20 minutes by car. Hostel is minutes from Chinatown, Polish all-you-can-eat sausage makers, Greektown, thrifty Mexican taquerias and markets, Maxwell Street, hot dog stands, blues clubs, and the old Irish, Polish, and Italian neighborhoods.

Overview

Twizi Note: This is a very cheap place to stay, but is out a ways from the town center. It is not rated very high, but it does serve it's purpose as the cheapest place to stay in Chicago. There is nothing fancy about this place, and it is quite a long trip on public transportation to get to downtown.

The hostel located just a 20 minute bus ride from the loop is located in an excellent residential neighborhood. A full kitchen is available 24 hours a day and laundry facilities are available during the daytime.

The hostel has over 1000 movies both on DVD and VCR. For only $12.00 a night this is by far the best deal in Chicago. After all you come to Chicago to party so instead of paying high rates elsewhere, stay at johnnies and have more money to party with!
