Hedonisia Hawaii is a hostel set in the wild, lush tropical rainforests of East Hawaii.

When you are ready to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city; come stay with us, relax, and drink in the varied, intense, and plentiful beauty of mother nature's home in East Hawaii.

Our location is in the Eastern 'Puna Region' of the Big Island. Some of the attractions found within short driving (or hitchhiking) distance are: the 'hippie' town of Pahoa (with a number of excellent restaurants). You can also view live molten Lava flows of Kilauea Volcano and bask in the Volcanic Sauna Steam Vents, Kapoho Warm Ponds or, for the more daring, Kehena Clothing Optional Black Sand Beach. There is also a fantastic Sunday Farmers Market where one can find delicious exotic tropical fruits, local honey, vintage 'Aloha' shirts, and handmade crafts.

Here are the accommodation options we offer and the nightly rates. All include bedding:

a) 5 Bed Mixed Dorm - We provide dormitory-style indoor tent space accommodation in 'The Barn' as well as various beautiful spots around the property.

'The Barn' is a large indoor space with a 'jungle kitchen' that is part indoor and part outdoor; a community table; space for 3 comfortable tents with full bedding provided. We also offer high speed internet access and DVD movies there.

All of our tents both inside the Barn and out on the property are fully outfitted with sleeping mattresses, sheets, blankets and pillows. Each outdoor tent space is under another shelter to protect it from the rain. (Don't forget: The result of all that rain is a rainbow of fragrant flowers and trees dripping with fruit in any season!)

Each tent space is self-contained and allows for privacy. This can be especially important for couples and female travelers.

b) Double Bed Private Shared Bathroom - If you choose this option then you will enjoy one of the following options. Unfortunately due to the popularity of these accommodations you cannot specify which of these spaces that you want. One of them will be assigned to you based on availabilty. However, they are all beautiful spaces to enjoy the rainforest of Hawaii!

i) The Bamboo Hut. This is a private hut as shown in Picture 6. Perfect for couples.

ii) The Jungle Bus. This is a converted School Bus. Our Jungle Bus apartment is great for couples.

iii) Avocado Tent. This is a beautiful spacious tentspace with a large covered veranda. Ideal for couples.

c) 4 Bed Private Ensuite - For those who wish to enjoy the Hawaiian jungle but also need all the amenities of home we offer a studio apartment. (This is listed as a 4 bed private room).

The Studio is part of the Main House and it includes a kitchen with range/oven, refrigerator, and dry food storage; bathtub with a hot shower and flush toilet. The living/sleeping area has a queen size bed, comfortable couch, and a television for watching DVD and VHS movies. Cost is $100 per night for 2 - 4 people.

Hedonisia Hawaii is set on 3.72 acres of land for guests to explore. The land includes a gigantic 2-acre volcanic crater with a mini-jungle at the bottom, various gardens with spices and salad greens available to guests, and a growing number of fruit trees to share the bounty of. (We have avocadoes from July to November, bananas, rose apples, mulberries, starfruit, and red and yellow guavas!)

Guests enjoy a private outdoor shower with hot water. As an eco-vacation rental we offer environmentally friendly compost toilets for guests.

We offer a pick-up service from Hilo Airport for $20 or $45 from Kona Airport. Be sure to reserve your Pick-UP BEFORE you arrive!

Please note that Hedonisia Hawaii has a Cancellation Fee of one night accommodation for ALL bookings made
online and it's related websites.

This is in addition to the 10% non-refundable deposit
that is charged when you make your
booking.

You may cancel your booking at any time. If you do
decide to cancel your booking please let us know and
you will only be charged for one night accommodation.
