Welcome to the Jinghua Hostel, Beijings biggest budget backpacker hostel.

The Jinghua Hostel re-opened in May 2005, following extensive modernizations. It has upgraded from a 2 star to a 3 star hotel and has many new facilities, and new management by LEO HOSTEL to ensure reliable service.

The Jinghua still remains the best choice for travelers who want the very cheapest prices, with a convenient location and great service.

Cheapest beds and private rooms in ALL of Beijing. No other international hostel in Beijing has cheaper dorm beds and private rooms. We have twin rooms, three bed dorms, four bed dorms, and six bed dorms. All dorm rooms are cleaned daily and security lockers are freely available. The public toilets & showers are newly built and are of western standard, with 24 hour hot water.

Location. 100% real Beijing. The Jinghua is situated away from Beijings tourist center, which means you can avoid the street sellers and crowds of tourists. Prices are much cheaper too, with many traditional markets, shops and restaurants in the area. All required amenities are at hand, such as a Bank of China, Post Office, supermarket, 24 hour store, photo shops and DVD shops. And next to the hostel is a lively night food market, where you can relax every night and soak up the atmosphere, with a great variety of food and draught beer.

Transportation. The Jinghua has a perfect location for transportation. Whether you arrive by train or plane, you can easily catch buses direct to the hostel. And just 2 minutes walk away from the hostel are direct buses to all main tourist sites, like Tiananmen Square, the Forbidden City, Temple of Heaven, Summer Palace, Pearl market, Dirt market, Sanlitun bar/embassy area and more.

Facilities

Jinghua Hostel bar & restaurant. The bar is a great place to relax, meet new people and have fun. Its got cheap beer, great food (Chinese, western, & Israeli), bar games, English newspapers & magazines, and DVD facilities. And just next to the bar is a large beer garden, surrounded by trees & flowers. Its a great place to share a meal and have a few drinks, or just relax with a book.

Internet. All computers have Windows XP with USB2 compatibility and multi-language support. We also offer a CD burning service.

Laundry service.

Bike hire.

Luggage storage. Secure. Free for customers.

Tourist information. The staff in Tourist Information speak good English and try their best to help customers. Telephone calls in Beijing are free and we also have international call facilities.

Tours. We have tours everyday to the Great Wall, Beijing opera, Chinese acrobatics, kung fu, and special nature spots around Beijing. We can also arrange private tours. Starting this summer, we have overnight camping trips on the wall.

We had a great time at Jinghua. We met alot of other Backpackers and exchanged info and found new friends. It's not in the center of town, but that's what we wanted - It's cheaper here and not so crowded! ;o) But anyway - They have a great map of how to get to and from Jinghua to almost everywhere you need to go with public transport (busses)... That map is 100 % useful! I give them ***** on that map! They are also very glad to help you with questions about traveling foward from Beijing an alike. In the very very cosy restaurant there is western breakfast for good prices and great cheap food (and ofcourse very cheap beer =o)! This is a good place to meet up with other backpackers! The people who take care of the place is the same that take care of 'Leo Hostel' (that you can find here to) - They know alot about backpacking and are happy to help you with almost anything.
