Welcome to Beijing Gongti International Youth Hostel
Gongti Youth Hostel is located at the No. 9 Tai in the Workers' Stadium (Gongrentiyuchang). Near to the Foreign Embassy district and Western sections of Beijing, adjacent to the famous Sanlitun Bar Street entertainment area. The airport shuttle bus has stops at Dongsishitiao (the East gate of the Worker's stadium) every half hour daily. Gongti Youth Hostel is also a conveniently situated 15 minutes walk from Dongsishitiao Subway station.

Chaoyang Park is located 2km from Gongti Youth Hostel, and Dongyue Temple is an even closer 1km. For your shopping needs you will find the Yashiu market with in a 5 minute walk, and the Full Link Plaza shopping complex located opposite the Chaoyangmen subway station a 15 minute walk from the Hostel. ATM facilities can be found outside of the east gate. An International post office can be found opposite the north gate. A short walk from the Hostel and within the stadium you will find the Blue? Zoo, Tennis court, Bowling alley (yellow building), and Gymnasium building. There is also a billiards cafe and archery equipment store with archery range near the north gate. Convenient to currency exchange and western food markets. Directly opposite Gongti Youth Hostel you will see a lake surrounded by trees and garden. Many people stroll around or relax even ice skate in the winter in this area. Around the stadium you can see many Beijing people doing the famous Chinese Tai chi exercises in this park-like area

What to see and do: (Daily tours arranged at the hostel)
Walking on the Great Wall from Jinshanling to Simatai. The structure of Jinshanling was mainly built in 1570 of Ming Dynasty and it was a well-preserved fortification system as well as natural fantastic scenery. Simatai Great Wall is highly recommended by the publication Lonely Planet. The hostel organizes daily tours for you to walk on the Great Wall from Jinshanling to Simatai. Along the way you will enjoy the beautiful scenery and you will bring home many pleasant memories, the cost of 90 RMB includes transportation only. Tours also available to the Badaling and Ming Tombs the price of 180 RMB includes transportation, all fees, lunch and English guide. The Summer Place tour includes tours to the Temple of Heaven, Forbidden City, Tian’an men Square along with the Summer palace included for 230 RMB are; transportation, all fees, guide, and lunch. Beijing Opera at Liyuan Theatre, with its traditional setting is on regular live performances either English subtitles everyday. Acrobatics at Wansheng Theatre is first-class acrobatic show given by the Beijing Acrobatic Troupe, which was founded in 1957.
