This is one of the oldest Backpacker Hostels ( started in 1993) in Beijing always offering the best deal accommodations to International and individual travellers. Under the newly introduced management, it shows you now a completely better look and more functions after another recent round of a large scale outer and internal renovations. The hostel is situated on the beautiful South Second Ring Road and by Dongbin River. Just around the corner lies the pleasant Taoran Park where you can see Taichi konfu exercisers in the early morning fresh air and kite flying above the charming lake in the late afternoon. A short easy walk find yourself in front of the famous Temple of Heaven.It takes 20 minutes by bike to Tian'anmen Square and the beaming Qianmen business area.Nearby you can just go on foot to the famous Liyuan Theater for Peking opera and to Wansheng Theater for Chinese Acrobatics show....
Whether you want to wander round to Taoran Park and Temple of Heaven or visit Tianqiao Market and Qianmen business street or you want to check out the great local nightlife, with its many busy restaurants, shops and entertainments, Fenglong( phoenix and dragon) Hostel is known as one of the places to be. You can stroll through the green and leafy street; educate yourself at Huguanghuiguan for Peking Opera, or go further afield towards the preserved Hutong area and Liulichang Culture Street for antiques and Chinese calligraphy.
